Mineshaft Articles Now Creative Commons PDF Print E-mail

We have joined the bandwagon, along with sites such as Flikr and wikiHow. What does this mean for you?  Nothing, probably.  We are using are using an Attribution Non-Commercial, which means you can now legally send your friend a copy of the Mineshaft, or send a story, but you need to say where this came from.  Really, there is no change for most of you; but we decided that since we were already doing this anyway, might as well make it official.

This will only apply to articles written in articles dated after this, so all those Top 10 lists made before this are off limits.  Also, for those wanting to know what you could do with this: you can take our articles, translate them into Dutch, and reprint them. You cannot make money off that paper, and you must tell your readers where the article originated.  But, if you are looking to start that paper, our articles are ready for you to translate.  We would also ask that you send us an email, or even better write an article for us, telling us about your paper.  Those are not requirements, just advice on how to be friendly.
If you would like to write for this paper, we would love to have you.  Your work will be licensed under the creative commons and put onto the paper on the website.  If you would like to learn more about this go to www.creativecommons.org. Wikipedia and Google should also help you understand just exactly what this entails. You can also email us at if you would like more information.
