Three is a huge problem in the United States. It is not the economy or the occupation of Iraq, it’s the lack of knowledge about children’s health. Fish is supposed to be a healthy food item, but fish can also contain high amounts of mercury. These are not dangerous to adults, but in a kid they can lead to some nasty side effects. Cocaine (apart from “being a helluva drug”) destroys a person. However, the effects on a kid are still not understood. There are competing studies on how much, if any, damage is done. There is also the chemical industry. When a new chemical comes out, the makers have to test the chemical on monkeys, rats, and other animals. PETA is always upset about this, but it is the easiest and cheapest way to test if a chemical will harm human beings. The problem is that it is not perfect, and little kids are not nearly protected enough using this setup. Now, abortion is a pretty hot issue, with Roe v. Wade being the presiding ruling on all things concerning the fetus. Some people want to outlaw abortion, others want a woman to have the choice, and others want the gray area in the middle. I am here to solve these two problems. |
